Green goddesses: Zoe Saldana and Gwyneth Paltrow dazzle in Elie Saab

We'd never have thought it, but either Zoe Saldana and Gwyneth Paltrow share the same stylist, or they're actually sisters in style.
The A-list actresses attended red-carpet events on different sides of the Atlantic last night - Gwyneth at the Bambi awards in Germany; Zoe at the Latin Grammy's in Las Vegas - both dripping in green sequins.
Lebanese couturier Elie Saab is the man responsible for both starlets' statement gowns, which, on close observation, couldn't be more different.
We love how Gwyneth's emerald, cap-sleeved design clashes against her blonde tresses, while her décolletage also manages to take centre stage, thanks to its deep, plunging neckline.
Avatar actress Zoe Saldana's grass-green number, on the other hand, is a much more demure affair with its simple column silhouette, crew neck and T-shirt sleeves.
It's another great coup for Saab, who had no less than two Princesses - our own Beatrice and Thai royal Princess Sirivannavari - seated front row at his recent Paris Fashion Week show.
But while Saldana and Paltrow evoked Hollywood glamour, fellow entertainer Lady Gaga held a style agenda of her own, typically. The 25-year-old singer arrived at the Bambi Awards in a black, gothic gown to serenade the crowd and receive her Pop International Award from the fashion industry's most famous German, Karl Lagerfeld.
But one elaborate outfit is never enough where Gaga is concerned: so it was out with the black and into an intricate, gold-embroidered organza gown by Alexander McQueen, complete with matching headpiece.
